We celebrated Makenna's 2nd Birthday & Christmas in Mexico again this year. It was a great, much needed getaway for everyone. Makenna was definitely in her element- she loved the pool, the beach and eating ice cream! It was such a joy to watch her having so much fun. It's so hard to believe our precious little baby is now a sweet little girl. She has been such an incredible blessing to all of us, in so many ways. Her smile can light the darkest days and her amazing hugs give us a piece of Sierra every day. We love you Makenna- Happy 2nd Birthday Sweetie!
She loved the rolling Dora suitcase Gigi got her for her birthday - she had to roll it through the airport- and all by herself of course!

The whole restaurant ended up singing Happy Birthday to Makenna, she got a little embarassed (for about 1 minute- then she didn't want it to stop)

We went Xcaret one day- Makenna absolutely loved it. This is a picture of the "Bridge to Heaven". It was truly breath-taking.

This was one of her favorites- the Tapir. Her favorite shows are Dora and Diego, so seeing the Tapir, McCaws, and even Jaguar Island- was definitely a highlight of the trip!

Her favorite song right now is "Happy Birthday" - on Christmas, she sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, all day long! It comes out as Happy Jesus - and at the top of her lungs :)

Looks like you all had a wonderful time in Mexico. I thought and prayed for you a lot while you were there and wished the time didn't have to go so fast.

Love the video! All your pictures are sooo wonderful. What a way to spend your birthday. Makenna is so grown up. It just seemed like yesterday that we were in birth class getting ready for our little ones to arrive. They're not so little any more.

Thank you so much for the wonderful time together in Mexico. It is a Christmas we will always remember. Weather was great, hotel was nice but it was you who made our trip so special. Oh my gosh...I finally saw the video. AWESOME!!! Bella made me play it like 7 times and was so proud she could teach Makenna the right way to eat a cake! Loved all the pics and you guys so much! See you tonight!
